- Breakfast and lunch on the cruise
Generally, breakfast, lunch and dinner are all served at the formal dining hall or buffet restaurant. If you prefer a more relaxed atmosphere, you may use the buffet restaurant. The opening hours of restaurants are notified in the cruise news bulletins. So, make sure to be informed of the opening and closing hours of restaurants.
- Dinner
Every evening, a formal course dinner prepared with fresh ingredients is served. If you want a relaxed atmosphere, you may dine in the buffet restaurant. Each guest is provided with the table number of a dining table. On the first day, you should check with the table number of the formal dining hall. When you have not received the number, make sure to check with the information desk.
- Surcharging restaurant on the cruise ship
Surcharging restaurants on cruise ships can be classified into different types depending on the ships
Specialty dining is the high-end French/Asian/Italian cuisine served specially on the ship in a reasonable price compared to the quality of the meal.
It can be used through phone calls or visits to check the available reservation hour. Depending on the restaurants, reservation fee is paid separately for the formal course meal, so it is advised to check this in advance.
- Attire guide
There are at least 1-3 times of formal dining for which gentlemen have to wear a tuxedo and tie as the cruise schedule. However, as it different depending on cruise ships, you have to check the cruise news bulletin about the dress code and the cruise schedule in advance. In the case of normal meals smart casual attire except for short pants or slippers are accepted. You can use buffet restaurants in easy casual attire.

Business/informal : Gentlemen – jacket and tie. Ladies – cocktail dress

- Beverage and snack service
Normally water in stainless kettle with ice is always prepared in the cabin. (However, it can be different depending on the ships.) As the cruise ship is a shared community, disease management is conducted thoroughly. Water can always be purified at the moment of drinking. You can also bring water from buffet restaurant.
When the snack bar is operated in the afternoon, guests can enjoy snacks or fruits in the buffet restaurant or can bring them to have in their rooms. However, soda or liquor are sold separately. Guests can also bring the food on the ship when traveling ports of call.
In the places off the ship, there may be cases you need cash or credit card apart from the Cruise Card, be sure to prepare cash or cards in advance.
- Casino
Casinos are open only in international waters and are closed during port days. Even when the cruise is sailing all day, there are cases of closing the casino when the ship is entering into the sea of certain countries.
Generally, casinos open all day when ships are sailing all day.
- Fitness Center
Usually it opens at 6:00 in the morning and runs till 23:00 at night. Saunas and hair salons are generally located nearby.
Guests can make reservation to get massage or hair salon services. Change of reservation is possible, but when cancelling the reservation, there may be cancel charges depending on the date.
When using the sauna, it is recommended to wear swimming suits. You can enjoy sauna after putting your Cruise Card at the spa information desk.
- Surcharging / free cruise programs
Generally you may consider that when the Passenger Cruise Card is required, it is surcharged and if not it is included in the cruise fare.
When there are not many people and the facility requires your signature, it is considered to be surcharged. Also, when there’s a price tag you should consider it as the extra charge.
Among programs run in the fitness club, yoga or pilates lessons are mostly run on the fee-paying basis and should be applied in advance. The detailed information is in the cruise news bulletin. In the case of beverages and liquor, 10-15% of service charge is made plus the listed price. (It may be applied differently depending on the cruise companies.)
- Big theater show programs
In the big theater, 2 times of shows are performed every evening and the show takes about 40 minutes to 1 hour.
Various entertainments ranging from variety show, broadway style musical, comedy and magic shows are prepared. The details and the schedule can be found in the cruise news bulletin.
Beverages and liquor are sold in the big theater. However, it is not a must to buy them.
- Internet cafe
Generally it is the issue of which plan you choose, but the fee is very expensive (about ₩1,000 per minute) and the speed is slow compared to the internet in Korea. However, it may not cause big problem using the internet and Hangeul is not supported.
Depending on the ships, wireless internet is available in some cabins. If you use the internet package product, the cabin crew provides you with the password so that you can use your personal computer in your room by inputting the password.
- Night club
Generally a night club is used as a place to have exciting dance time or to enjoy beverages or liquor in the evenings. It is usually located in the top floor of the ship with a fine view. During the day time, various events are held. Sometimes a special buffet is held at mid-night. When there are events in the night club, the information is notified through the cruse news bulletin. So, don’t forget to look for it.
- Photograph services on the cruise
Photographers take pictures of passengers during embarkation, formal nights in dress code, and getting off and on to travel ports of call in various places. When the camera comes nearby you, don’t be shy and leave a pleasant memory with the photographic article. After the photographs are taken, you can purchase the photographs displayed in photo studio. It is an option.
