- Luggage check-in When you arrive at the cruise terminal, the staff waiting at the entrance receive your luggages and carry them into the passenger’s quarters in the ship. In this case, you should make sure that the baggage check is properly attached to your baggage. - Embarkation process After handing over your luggage to the staff, you will proceed through the security checkpoint and continue to the check-in counter. You should present your boarding pass issued in Korea , passport and credit card to the counter. After checking the documents, the check-in staff issue you Passenger Cruise Card made in plastic. This card is used as your ID card when you get off and get back to the ship. Passenger Cruise Card also can be used for shopping, buying beverage or liquor in the shop or purchasing optional tour at a port of call. (The used expenses are automatically billed via your credit card.) - Boarding and getting into your cabin After you have been issued your Passenger Cruise Card at check-in counter, you may board the ship through the corresponding gate. When you board the ship you put the Passenger Cruise Card in the check-in system and then take a photo for the passenger identification. After boarding you move to your room using an elevator or stairs. - Safety education Usually, safety education takes place 30 minutes before the departure time. seven (7) short and one (1) long sirens are sounded. When the education begins you put on the life vest in the cabin and gather around the life boat. The gathering places are notified on the door of the cabin and cabin crews will kindly inform you. |
On the cruise ship |
- Breakfast and lunch on the cruise Generally, breakfast, lunch and dinner are all served at the formal dining hall or buffet restaurant. If you prefer a more relaxed atmosphere, you may use the buffet restaurant. The opening hours of restaurants are notified in the cruise news bulletins. So, make sure to be informed of the opening and closing hours of restaurants. - Dinner Every evening, a formal course dinner prepared with fresh ingredients is served. If you want a relaxed atmosphere, you may dine in the buffet restaurant. Each guest is provided with the table number of a dining table. On the first day, you should check with the table number of the formal dining hall. When you have not received the number, make sure to check with the information desk.

- Attire guide
There are at least 1-3 times of formal dining for which gentlemen have to wear a tuxedo and tie as the cruise schedule. However, as it different depending on cruise ships, you have to check the cruise news bulletin about the dress code and the cruise schedule in advance. In the case of normal meals smart casual attire except for short pants or slippers are accepted. You can use buffet restaurants in easy casual attire.

- Beverage and snack service
Normally water in stainless kettle with ice is always prepared in the cabin. (However, it can be different depending on the ships.) As the cruise ship is a shared community, disease management is conducted thoroughly. Water can always be purified at the moment of drinking. You can also bring water from buffet restaurant.
- Casino
Casinos are open only in international waters and are closed during port days. Even when the cruise is sailing all day, there are cases of closing the casino when the ship is entering into the sea of certain countries.
- Fitness Center
Usually it opens at 6:00 in the morning and runs till 23:00 at night. Saunas and hair salons are generally located nearby.
- Surcharging / free cruise programs
Generally you may consider that when the Passenger Cruise Card is required, it is surcharged and if not it is included in the cruise fare.
- Big theater show programs
In the big theater, 2 times of shows are performed every evening and the show takes about 40 minutes to 1 hour.
- Internet cafe
Generally it is the issue of which plan you choose, but the fee is very expensive (about ₩1,000 per minute) and the speed is slow compared to the internet in Korea. However, it may not cause big problem using the internet and Hangeul is not supported. - Night club Generally a night club is used as a place to have exciting dance time or to enjoy beverages or liquor in the evenings. It is usually located in the top floor of the ship with a fine view. During the day time, various events are held. Sometimes a special buffet is held at mid-night. When there are events in the night club, the information is notified through the cruse news bulletin. So, don’t forget to look for it. - Photograph services on the cruise Photographers take pictures of passengers during embarkation, formal nights in dress code, and getting off and on to travel ports of call in various places. When the camera comes nearby you, don’t be shy and leave a pleasant memory with the photographic article. After the photographs are taken, you can purchase the photographs displayed in photo studio. It is an option. |
Disembarkation |
- Luggages In the afternoon before disembarkation day, separate baggage marks are delivered to each cabin. The color of the baggage mark is determined according to the airline departure schedule after the guests fill in the form of ‘Schedule after Disembarkation’. After you disembark the cruise and arrive at the luggage collection area of the terminal, you will see luggages are classified by the colors of baggage marks to help you find your luggage easily. After packing your luggage and checking if the name tag with your name and address is properly attached, you should let the luggage out side of your room by 11:00 at night, so that the crew can deliver them to the terminal the next morning. - Paying of costs paid with Passenger Cruise Card On the day before or in the morning of disembarkation day, the statement you paid with your Cruise Card for beverages, liquor, shopping and optional tours in ports of call, is delivered to each cabin. After checking the statement and when there’s something wrong with it, you can inquire to the information desk. The expenses you spent are billed automatically to the credit card you used to issue the Passenger Cruise Card. In the case you want to pay it by cash, you can pay it in the bank desk located in the ship and get the receipt. - Waiting after breakfast After breakfast when you take some rest in the lounge or dining hall, there will be announcement about disembarkation by the color of the baggage marks The disembarkation time would be about 39 minutes to 1 hour after arrival of the cruise at the terminal. You may proceed disembarkation when the color of the baggage mark is called. - Immigration and customs inspections after getting off the cruise Complying to the guidance of the crew, you get off from the cruise, you find your luggage in the terminal. When immigration and customs inspections are completed, it is the end of your cruise travel. |
